We mourn the loss Hon. Justice David Amilcar Shikomera Majanja, Judge of the High Court of Kenya and Commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Judiciary and JSC fraternity during this time of deep sorrow and sadness.
Justice Majanja will be remembered as a towering figure in the development of our transformative post-2010 jurisprudence and a crucial pillar in the institution-building of the JSC and the Judiciary.
We stand in solidarity with the family, friends, and the entire Judiciary and JSC community during this very difficult period of mourning.

It is with a heavy heart that I accept God's Will Judge. You were true definition of Justice. You brought sanity to constitutional interpretation. You made complex cases simple for us. A very sober legal mind. A walking constitution. You were the law. It is difficult to say good bye Judge.
Rest easy Sir. The times I interacted with you were truly memorable. God bless you and receive you well. Go well Sir!

In my very first year of practice as an advocate I encountered you at the Embu High Court. You were visiting on an RRI exercise. As I read many of your judgements post that appearance, your approach from the bench on matters before your Lordship truly reflected what the bench ought to be. Go well my Lord.
