Hon. Commissioner Justice D.S Majanja, You easily are the best Jurist, Mentor and personal friend to many. Your service to the Legal Profession has been nothing short of impeccable. Law has been your life, and justice your Soul. This is a profound way to live, Judge. Whenever we met, you remained your usual self - friendly and unassuming. I remember well the conversation during your friend Commissioner's homecoming, and you were set to keep the bar - too high - in adjudication. The Mafia Family, and Pretoria Alum will always remember you. Go well, Judge.

Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. Greatly loved, deeply missed. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You lived a honorable life. #in memory of many in memory of all. It is well

My lasting memory of David was how he, with Justice Lenaola and Lady Justice Mumbi Ngugi handled the Constitutional and Human Rights bench at the High Court. Court sessions commenced ON time, all rulings and judgements were delivered without fail within two weeks of hearing and there was no backlog. Anyway , David and Isaac are both Alliance alumni who are imbued with a strong to serve spirit. Next encounter was when he was based in Kisumu and l was following up on long pending appeal matters for inmates in Naivasha Prison. David ushered me into his chambers then asked “are you sure those cases emanate from this court ……because l don’t have any backlog in my court .” Indeed upon verification his clerks showed me that the cases were from another county but lodged in Kisumu Court of Appeal. Easy, humble, self effacing and diligent . Go well Judge. You have left a mark in this country.

Kwake Mola tumetoka na kwake ndio tutarudi, umekamilisha kazi aliyokupa Mola hapa duniani. Ewe Mola mujalie safari njema, wape nguvu familia ya mwenda zake wakati huu mguu. Tulikupenda lakini Mola alikupenda zaidi, safari salama.

Tribute

Hon. Justice Majanja was embodiment of hardwork, determination and wherewithal spirit to transform our institution. I benefited from his many lessons and experiences. A man who was focused, astute jurist and great defender of our Constitution. RIP Judge till we meet again.

From God we come and to Him we shall return, Mr Majanja was an inspiration in the corridors of justice and national building, may the Almighty reward him in the next life. Rest in peace

Dave! You were professional,loved your job and respected people. You were bubbly and full of life. Thanks for guiding me through life in matters law. Life WELL LIVED! Too soon 😭 but I'm God's arm you rest DAVE! I will miss you Hon.

A hero rest . A true patriot and an imagine of justice . He set precedence that we wish our country stand on . I hope those that will take from him raise the standards even more . Rest in peace JUSTICE MAJANJA
