Death came too soon Judge. You were brilliant in all you did and many times when I appeared before you, you challenged my thinking and understanding of issues. We mourn the loss Hon. Justice David Amilcar Shikomera Majanja, Judge of the High Court of Kenya and Commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Judiciary and JSC fraternity during this time of deep sorrow and sadness.
Justice Majanja will be remembered as a towering figure in the development of our transformative post-2010 jurisprudence and a crucial pillar in the institution-building of the JSC and the Judiciary.
We stand in solidarity with the family, friends, and the entire Judiciary and JSC community during this very difficult period of mourning.

Hon . Judge, I still remember the exact spot where you sat exactly two years ago during my husband's funeral service at Friend's International Church Ngong road. As you watched me pay my tribute to him, you sat listening keenly with your hands folded . As I spoke in the midst of my pain and my eye momentarily spotted you, I recalled the very countless times he had spoken nothing but rich tributes of you. As an advocate, I have interacted with your judgements and appeared before you. Its such a sad moment for the legal fraternity as we shall miss your jurisprudence henceforth. Sleep well Judge. I really admired your work ethics and your initiative to change the Judiciary at a personal level from typing your own proceedings on the go, Having your judgements typed and uploaded soon after delivery and starting court by 8am everyday.
