My heartfelt condolences to family, friends, relatives and the entire Judiciary for the sudden death of Hon. Justice Majanja. May God comfort you all during this sad, mourning moment. It is well. #RIPJUSTICEMAJANJA
Your courtesy, wisdom, sobriety and impartiality shall forever be missed.
Rest well judge!!
May the Lord grant him eternal peace.
The Late Hon. Justice David Majanja was a towering legal mind. Was a keen listener and was patient to listen. This provided a fair hearing to all parties appearing before him for justice. He was one of the few judges whose rulings rarely got appealed because they were well grounded on law and fact. A judge who made rulings not by the empathy and sympathy of his heart but by the knowledge and requirement of the law in his mind.
Ooh Lord, may perpetual light shine upon your servant David, and eternal rest grant unto him.🙏
To the family, relatives, friends, Judiciary and the legal fraternity and the Nation at large find solace in the Lord for this untimely loss
Maj, this is really hard to take.
We looked up to you as a role model in practice and thereafter enjoyed practicing before your court. Always on time, always precise, straight to the point and with depth.
We cited your decisions in other courts with confidence as they always expounded legal points clearly.
Beyond the law you were simply an awesome person.
As we bid farewell to Justice Majanja, let us carry forward the love and laughter he brought into our lives. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever echo in our hearts, reminding us to cherish each moment and hold tight to the bonds of family.Rest In Peace Justice Majanja.
May your soul rest in eternal peace 🕊️
Kenyans will stand with the family in the time of sorrow. We will always remember him as a hero who actually stood up with millions of Kenyans tough times.
Also, be he ruled out the collection of housing as unconstitutional.
This song, I sing (For Justice Majanja)
I sing
Without voice,
Of the incipient beauty of songs.
I sing
Of the pregnant sky
Sitting expressionless, in a sea of
Abundances of caution.
I sing
Of the arrogant earth that
Wryly gobbles up Justices and spits
Their souls up to the eternal sky.
I sing
Of the necessary calmness
Of justice in the face
Of a cacophony of tyrannies.
I sing
Of the grand cadences of transformation
Walking briskly along
the shadowy alleys of purgatory
Our purgatory.
I sing
Of death.
That thief!
For;
The beauty of death is
In The Living.
The beauty of the sky is
In the aroma of the earth
When it tears up.
The beauty of tyranny is
In the sharp justice of the pen
The beauty of transformation is
In the Ripeness,
Mootness,
Suppleness and
Muteness
Of the law.
This song, I sing.

RIP SHIKOMERA
GO WELL .YOU SERVED WELL
Judge,
I only got to meet you once. You said u saw something good in me and that i should keep up the work and i would go far. I felt encouraged by your words and i have held them close to my heart. From that encounter i felt like i had known u at a personal level. That impact u made is not in vain and though i would have wished for more encounters God's plan is different. Till we meet again. Rest in Eternal Peace Judge Majanja.
First and foremost, May His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
As a young advocate, I learnt a lot from Justice Majanja. His guidance to young advocates shaped me. He ensured expedited justice. I remember when I filed an application under certificate of urgency for review of his judgment and the application was heard and determined on the following day. All the appeals I had before him were determined without any delay. His practice, expedience, charisma and determination set him apart from the rest. His death has, especially for us young advocates, deprived us of a mentor. I celebrate him for his dedication to his work and as person. May he continue to rest in eternal peace.
Justice Majanja was an outstanding Judicial officer who stood for the rule of law.
He contributed in developing and enriching our jurisprudence.
He will be remembered for judgments he made in various cases but I will personally remember him for judgment he rendered in Kenya Bus Service Ltd & Another v Minister For Transport & 2 Others (2012)
He held that the mandatory 30-days’ notice of intention to sue the government is a violation of the right of access to justice and amounts to unjustified limitation of a right within a democratic society.
Rest in power My Lord.
R. I. P Justice Majanja
You will forever be missed n remembered by Sheria Housing fraternity.
Go thee well Judge.
Great judge and an ever greater gentleman. May the Almighty grant you eternal peace
