You were a great judge. Always courteous to counsel especially young ones who were still new in practice. Your loss was a great shock to the legal fraternity. You excelled in this life and your light shone brightest. Shine on in this next life.
In the echoing halls of justice, the name of Justice David Amilcar Shikomera Majanja resonates with profound reverence and heartfelt admiration. On my behalf and the legal fraternity in Nakuru, and the broader legal community, we mourn the loss of a man whose wisdom was as deep as his kindness was boundless. His judgments, like carefully crafted poetry, illuminated the path to justice with clarity and compassion. Justice Majanja was not just a guardian of the law but a beacon of hope, whose legacy will forever guide us in our quest for equity and fairness. His presence graced our courts with unwavering integrity and dedication to the truth that will be profoundly missed.
Among his many contributions, Justice Majanja’s decisions reinforce the principle that the strength of our democracy is measured not by the silence it can enforce but by the voices it can protect. His profound understanding of the delicate balance between security and freedom underscored his belief in a society where every voice matters. As we bid farewell to our esteemed colleague and friend, we hold onto the light he brought into our lives, cherishing the indelible mark he left on the tapestry of justice. In his memory, we echo the timeless Latin phrase, Fiat justitia ruat caelum- let justice be done though the heavens fall. Justice Majanja, your legacy is in aeternum - forever etched in our hearts.
Heavens have gained a genius!
Devastated beyond words. You were the guy who had the grit to prison William Ruto .
Rest where it rains!
Majanja J, you achieved much in your young age and left a big legacy. We are sad to lose you so early but we accept it because our Almighty God knows every situation in our lives. Shine on your way. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Amen! While there, remember to pray for us. My condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and the entire Nation of Kenya. We have truly lost a gem 💎 ✨️ 💔
It was a humbling pleasure to have known you. Death has robbed this Country and especially the Judiciary off a good Judge. Safiri Salama Tutaonana Baadaye.
Fare thee well, Judge. You will be remembered for your honourable service to the public, your fine legal mind and your always courteous and pleasant manner. 🙏🏽
Justice Majanja was one fine respectable judiciall officer who flew the Judiciarys flag high as a modicum of sobriety humility integrity and fairness. In memory of all attributes of Justice Majanja it is imperative that the judicial system stops its abuse by the likes of Edwin Harold Dayan Dande the owner promoter of Cytonn investments management plc who has made it a habit to file frivolous and vexatious apllications in court in an effort to stall the recovery efforts by persons he owes collosal amounts of money by his count of 15billion. Justice Majanja would not have allowed this kind of travesty of justice to happen. Rest in Peace Justice Majanja
Justice David Majanja was one of the progressive , intellectual and sharp judges Kenya has ever had.
He was destined for supreme court and consequently would have made to be our future CJ.
I looked forward to listening to Justice Majanja especially during JSC interviews. One would admire his line of thoughts and his calm demeanour to the interviewee's.
Kenya has lost a jurist who contributed to the jurisprudence of our transformative constitution.
I pray that God comforts his family and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
Judge you ran a good race, may your soul rest in eternal peace.
