Hon. Lady Justice Monica Mbaru

Lady Justice Monica Mbaru is the Employment and Labour Relations Court Principal (ELRC) Judge having been elected in 2026.

She was appointed Judge of the ELRC in July 2012. Justice Mbaru has served in Nairobi and Nakuru. Judge Mbaru holds a Master of Laws (LLM) (Human Rights and Democratization in Africa) at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

She studied Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma at the Kenya School of Law. She was admitted to Bar in the year 1996.
