JUDICIARY ANNUAL SPORTS DAY SCHEDULED FOR MAY

The annual Judiciary Sports Day will be held from 25th to 28th May in Nairobi. The Judiciary Training Institute (JTI) has already formed a technical committee which comprises staff members from different offices and directorates within the Judiciary to begin the preparations for the event.

Hon. Justice Boaz Olao chairs the larger organising committee of the Sports Day.

The inaugural edition of the Judiciary Sports Day was held in 2014 with the main objective being to bring together the Judiciary staff for a bonding session. It was held at the Judiciary Training Institute (JTI) playground in Nairobi. The winning team in that year was Meru/Embu region.

In 2015, the Sports Day was again held at the JTI. Central Rift emerged winners in the hotly contested games.

In 2016, however, the venue for the event was moved to the Utalii College playground owing to the large number of participants in the games. Nairobi region took the coveted top position that year.
