Chief Justice David Maraga was joined by Governor Francis Kimemia and other leaders to officially open a new court building at Engineer Law Courts in Nyandarua County. The court is part of Judiciary plan to enhance access to justice through expansion of physical infrastructure.nnThe court is located in Nyandarua County and serves a population of about 344,000.  Engineer Law Court is the only Court in Nyandarua County and this new building replaces the previous iron sheet and congested structures which had served as a Court from 2012 when the first court in the County was gazetted. nnThe new building houses three court rooms and chambers, a registry, customer service centre, a waiting bay, lactating room for court users and staff, separate holding cells for men/women, offices for other justice chain actors, among many other facilities.nnThe Judiciary is also constructing a High Court for Nyandarua County, at Ol Kalou.  These two courts built via support of the World Bank via the Judicial Performance Improvement Project, are all aimed at bringing justice closer to the people.  nn nn nn nn nn nn nn nn
