Appointment to Judicial Service

• Joined the Judiciary in 1993 as District Magistrate (II) Prof.
• Appointed Judge of the High Court in 2016
• Served as Judge at Makueni, Nakuru and Nyeri High Courts

 

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts (LLB), University of Nairobi
• Post Graduate Diploma in Law, Kenya School of Law
• Admitted to the Bar in 1990
• Certificate from the United Nations Asia and East Institute (Japan) on Treatment of Juvenile Delinquency and a Masters in Women’s Law (Southern and Eastern African Regional Centre for Women’s Law), University of Zimbabwe.

Participated in various seminars, workshops and trainings on issues related to the administration of justice and different aspects of the law such as:

• Development of a Curriculum on Child Care and Protection, Pwani University, Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and Association of Charitable Institutions of Kenya (ACCIK)
