Hon. Mr. Justice Gachoka Paul Mwaniki

Mr Paul Gachoka Mwaniki was appointed Judge of Court of Appeal in 2022.  Prior to his appointment, Justice Mwaniki was serving as a commissioner at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.

He holds Master of Applied Philosophy and Ethics from Strathmore University and Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi. He studied for his Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law in 1991.

He has a Certificate in Cooperate Governance Training Course for Directors, a Certificate in Foundation Mediation Skills Training Course from Strathmore and another qualification of the Entry Course in Arbitration Practice, CIArb, 2005.

He served as Member of the Public Complaints Review and Appeals Board from 2005 to 2007, Chairman at the Restrictive Trade Practices Tribunal from 2006 to 2009 and at the Public Procurement Review Appeal between 2007 and 2013.

He was a member at Dispute Adjudication Board between 2013 and 2016. He is Senior Partner at Mwaniki Gachoka & Company Advocates since 1993 and a Commissioner at the EACC from 2016. His legal practice spans 26 years. He was admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 1991.
