Justice Ogembo was the most down to earth person I have ever met, a consummate gentleman who bent backwards to accommodate all and sundry from every background. As your family and your professional colleagues say bye, the Raps85 will forever be proud of you for hoisting their flag. May you rest in peace. We will dearly miss you. So long my friend.
A very promising Judge. So sad to lose Daniel. A polite and courteous gentleman. We will sorely miss you. Nind gi kwe Jabura
RIP justice Ogembo... condolences to the family...you have finished your race. Heaven gains
My Lord, the Hon. Justice D.O. Ogembo, Rest easy. Having served you while at Siaya Law Courts was quite an inspiration and yet a different learning opportunity for me. Hon. Judge, you were humble, down-to-earth, a good listener, firm and accommodative yet not judging. You had all ways of handling pressure no matter what. Your respectful nature and value for everyone’s opinions at the station into issues melted our hearts. You would give people opportunities through assignments and your belief in them was undoubted. You encouraged to go an extra mile in our assignments. Your wisdom was of a leader and guidance was fatherly, that’s why I mourn you like a daughter. Hon. Judge, working closely with you made me get exposed more to Judiciary leadership, this was especially during the Siaya Launch event in June 2023, I was thrilled to meet her Ladyship, the Chief Justice and Supreme Court Judge, Hon. Justice William Ouko and a couple more judges from the Court of Appeal and High Court. It was such an awesome honour to serve you Judge and supporting you in my own little way as a Personal Secretary. I remembered during supervisory visits or stakeholder engagements during photo sessions, and you would say, “Jemima I hope there is a flash flicker on your camera, otherwise hiyo sio picha....” and everyone around would burst into laughter or at times, the VIP section would be set for you with a team, but at times you insisted on...Please Jemima, let me just line up....” I would be amazed. It’s the Legacy that you leave behind, that nobody can forget as it is always humbling. Death indeed stung the deepest, fly well with the angels My Lord till we meet some day. May God Almighty, guide your path. Rest easy, Hon. PJ. JEMIMA MARY OGUTU

Today and in the life to come. I celebrate Hon. Justice Daniel Ogembo. For the time I knew him while serving in the court users committee, he has been an inspiration who was devoted, soft spoken but tough, intelligent and hands on. He was a leader who everyone wished to work with. Will surely miss you Hon. May angels receive you with dancing and joy. Rest in peace my boss.
2nd Cor 2:19 - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. Rest In Peace Judge
