A gentleman par excellence. The true definition of the celebrated adage "as sober as a judge". A fatherly figure with no equal. No amount of words can explain the fecundity of the loss to Siaya Law Courts and the legal fraternity at large. Fare thee well Your Lordship until we meet again.
For the years l have practiced as an advocate,l never met a humble judicial officer as you.
Before your demise, the previous day we sat as the prosecutor on duty and handled matters till 3:00p.m, the following day , l couldn't believe seeing you lifeless. All in all the question comes Does Jesus care??? Fare thee well your lordship and may the almighty strengthen your family and grant us peace to accept the loss.
Justice Ogembo is a humble en pleasant Man who valued his family so much,he did his work diligently en no one complained at any one time..My God in heaven hold his family under your wings give them warmth in this cold moments..
My family and myself are deeply saddened. The late justice was a very close family friend whom we knew for close to ten years. As we celebrate his life, we continue to pray for his family. He will greatly be missed. May the Almighty rest him in eternal peace.
May your soul rest in eternal peace
Justice Ogemba was one of a kind.
If administering justice without due regard to procedural technicalities was a person, that person was him.
He had a way of handling the law and explaining it to litigants that both a professor and an uneducated person would understand.
Rest in power. You fought a good fight.
You were kind, always ready to listen. A judge who spared his time to guide litigants wherever possible. A judge that says,"thank you." everytime you conclude with a matter, a courteous one. Treated all advocates the same and a patient man. May you rest in peace kwach..
I interacted with you only twice but l found you exceptionally amiable, humble, pleasant and quite considerate for others. So sad to have lost you early in the day. Fare thee well Judge.
Justice Ogembo was amiable, friendly, aproachable, and down to earth. He was always ready to offer guidance and counsel when approached.
He will be greatly missed by many that he he impacted. May the Lord give comfort to his immediate family and the Judiciary at large.
May the soul of good Justice D. O. Ogembo rest in eternal peace.
I am yet to meet a kind, intelligent and respectful gentleman who valued humanity and equality..a man of few words spoken with outmost wisdom and summed up with a simple smile.Heaven has gained a treasure..May Your good works follow your family and give them strength that surpasses human understanding. Soar on Judge you Will be dearly missed.
May the good soul of Hon Justice Ogembo rest in eternal peace 🕊️. My sincere condolences to the Ogembo’s and the Omodho’s.
We remember with deep gratitude the life and work of Justice Ogembo, a champion for justice and a voice for the voiceless in Siaya County. His unwavering commitment to addressing Gender Based Violence made him an invaluable ally to us, the CMMB, and a beacon of hope for survivors. Justice Ogembo's legacy is etched in the strengthened Siaya Children Court Users committee and the prioritization of children's issues in our judicial processes.
His wisdom and compassion were evident in every action, none more so than when he ensured GBV survivors were active participants in the opening of the GBV court by the Chief Justice. This act of inclusion spoke volumes about his character and his dedication to true justice.
Mheshimiwa Justice Ogembo, your impact on our community will not be forgotten. You have left Siaya County better than you found it, with stronger protections for our most vulnerable and a judicial system more attuned to the needs of children and survivors of violence.
You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will endure. Thank you for your service, your wisdom, and your tireless advocacy. Fare thee well, Mheshimiwa.
Justice Ogola was my classmate at the University and school of law
A gentleman who supported colleagues in their time of need
He served this nation diligently both in the bar and the bench
As classmates, we feel a sense of loss when we lose one of us
We condole with the family and friends
Till we meet again judge...at the throne of Mercy
May your soul rest in eternal peace.
Your legacy lives on
My namesake judge. It with shock that I have learnt of your sad passing on. We met recently severally while you were on leave when you shared with me your focus to attend the CA interviews. Since we met in college in the 1990s we struck a bond. I remember how many of your mails came to me only for me to realise that the mails were not.mind but yours. We always laughed about this over the years and even on the last Friday before we learnt of your passing on. A very soft spoken gentleman who dedicated his time and energy to his family and to his work starting off as a resident Magistrate until your appointment as a judge. You left us so suddenly without saying bye, we have accepted God's will as we are also in the same journey. May the almighty God comfort your family, friends and colleagues at this trying moment. Till we meet again. Daniel.Ogola Chair - Competition Tribunal, Kenya
