You will be remembered with your outstanding Justice in our country.
We pray God to raise another Hon. Justice like you.
Rest in eternal peace
You were a very convival Judge. May your soul rest in eternal peace.
Continue resting the good judge
I hold myself in deep respect and gratitude to honor the life and legacy of a truly remarkable judge — a guardian of justice, a voice of fairness, and a model of integrity.
Through wisdom, humility, and unwavering dedication to the rule of law, Your Lordship served the bench with dignity and compassion. You did not merely interpret the law — you upheld its spirit, ensuring that justice was not only done, but seen to be done.
Your decisions were thoughtful, your courtroom a sanctuary of order and equity, and your presence a reminder that the law, at its best, protects the vulnerable and holds the powerful accountable.
You have left a mark on the legal profession that will endure — not only through the judgments you rendered, but through the lives you touched, mentored, and inspired.
In your service, we found fairness. In your character, we found strength. And in your legacy, we find light.
May your example continue to guide us all.
You were a friend, a mentor, a brother. It has been close to 9 months now, feels like the other day! Honoured to have met, interacted and learnt from you. Fare well Judge....
A towering figure, the guy who commanded total respect, strong mastery of the law, procedures and facts, an intimidating but gentle giant that was Shikomera David Amilcar Majanja! My community has lost, the profession has lost, and Kenya has lost. So long Judge, so long
Keep resting in peace Uncle. Thank you for your generosity towards me. Thank you also for being an inspiration to me and many more. We shall meet on that beautiful shore. Your legacy lives on and on.
Judge was a friend, a mentor, critic and boss. He walked through the JSC campaigns with gusto. He was of calm mien and humility. May the Lord place him in the best place in His kingdom.
I learnt of his untimely demise with utter shock and consternation. It is not easy to ask whither cometh another?
May it please Your Lordship....our paths of interaction crossed in 2019 and grew ever since ...you cleared the causelist of projects save for only Two matters..I have my regrets that we shall not jointly accomplish them...I was certainly looking to.complete them and gain from your always brilliant valuable input..I will try accomplish one of them in your honour...the other can't be done as things stand...like i said previously..I'm forever indebted to you for that one act of kindness...even in your absence and to your family I'm forever indebted...you left abruptly...but it's God's will...let it be done...fare thee well my Lord..I am most obliged
It will take a lot time to erase the pain left in our hearts.May the Judge’s soul rest in eternal peace!!
Rest in peace dear brother. You were a towering figure in our legal landscape.
A life well lived, not only an inspiration to the younger generation but also a figure of hope and love to the family . May you rest in eternal peace uncle.
"Grief is the final act of love." David, I never thought I'd be writing this. You are leaving a very big void only God can fill. I'm grateful to God for not only knowing you, but being a part of your life. Thank you.
You will be missed dearly, you are loved still in even death. Though you are gone your memories will forever be carried in our hearts. For now, Rest in eternal peace David, till we meet again. 🕊️

Justice Majanja was an astute jurist, a discerning judge, a mentor and an inspiration for many in the legal community. You always strived to cut through the noise and get to the heart of any matter in order to deliver justice. You continuously challenged us to continue to better our craft. It was truly an honour and a privilege to know you and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with you. You served your country excellently and diligently. But now your watch has ended. Fare thee well, Judge. May your soul rest in eternal peace.
