Hon. Justice Ahmed Issack Hassan

Justice Ahmed Issack Hassan is an accomplished advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 31 years of legal practice, having been admitted to the Bar in 1995. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi.

Until his nomination Mr. Hassan was serving as the Chairman of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority. His career includes roles as Chairperson of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute, Electoral Commissioner of the Electoral Commission of Afghanistan, and Chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. He brings to the Bench extensive experience in institutional governance, electoral justice, rule of law and democratic development, acquired through distinguished service at both national and international levels.
