Hon. Justice Paul Lilan

Justice Paul Lilan is an accomplished legal practitioner with over 30 years of service in the legal profession, having been admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership from the Management University of Africa.

Until his nomination, Mr. Lilan served as the Chairperson of the Capital Markets Tribunal, while also serving as Managing Partner at Lilan and Koech Associates since 2011. His career includes distinguished service as Chairperson of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute, partnership in leading law firms, and long-standing leadership in governance and dispute resolution. He brings to judicial office deep experience in commercial law, regulatory adjudication, and institutional leadership, underpinned by integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to justice.
