Candle Lighting Ceremony in Honour of the late Justice Fredrick Ochieng’

President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Daniel Musinga, led Judges of the Court of Appeal, Judicial Officers, and members of staff in a solemn candle-lighting ceremony in honour of the late Hon. Justice Fred Ochieng.

During the ceremony, Justice Musinga described the candles as symbols — representing life, wisdom, justice pursued with integrity, and a spirit that continues to shine even in absence.

“As the flame rises,” he said, “may it remind us of the Hon. Judge’s unwavering commitment to fairness, truth, and the rule of law. Though his earthly journey has ended, his legacy continues to inspire us. We who remain are called to carry forward the torch of justice, to uphold the values he cherished, and to ensure that his contribution to jurisprudence endures.”
