CRJ Mokaya convenes management meeting to discuss Judiciary projects
Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Winfridah Mokaya convened a strategic session with the Judiciary management team to review the status of construction, infrastructure, and ICT projects, focusing on overcoming bottlenecks and generating innovative solutions despite budget constraints.
The meeting underscored the Judiciary’s commitment to green energy and water conservation, with Etago, Kajiado, and Naivasha Law Courts cited as models for solar-powered operations. Future projects will target Green Certification and smart, digitally enabled buildings.
In line with the STAJ Blueprint, which positions technology as a key enabler of justice, updates were provided on the rollout of ICT systems such as the Cause List portal; M-Returns (Judges, Judicial Officers case returns); Management Dashboards; Assets Management System; Guest Management System; Mobile App; Advocates Management System; Office of the Judiciary Ombudsman Complaints Management System; Transcription System and Enterprise Resource Planning administrative system.
CRJ Mokaya, in her opening remarks, emphasized that “leaders are remembered not for the challenges they faced, but for the decisions they made when the stakes were high.” She noted that the Judiciary carries the hopes of the nation and must do its best to meet the expectations for Kenyans.
