CRJ tours Dagoretti and Kikuyu Law Courts
Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Winfridah Mokaya visited Dagoretti and Kikuyu Law Courts to assess the facilities and security as well as ascertain how fast the operations can return to normalcy.
The CRJ who was accompanied by the Deputy Registrar of the Judiciary Paul Ndemo, Registrar in the Office of CRJ Esther Nyaiyaki and other Judiciary officials assured that operations of the courts would resume after construction and renovation of the two courts.
“We have set aside the budget to enhance the security of the court so that the premises can be protected as well as officers and public who access the court,” the CRJ explained.
Kikuyu Law Courts was completely destroyed when protestors razed it down while Dagoretti Law Courts was pelted with stones.
She hailed the Kikuyu Court Users Committees and business community for their role in the restoration of court services.
She further assured Judicial officers and staff that the management will give them the necessary support to ensure they continued working smoothly and in a safe environment.
