Judiciary, KDF and KRA share best practices on large-scale projects management

Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Winfridah Mokaya led the Judiciary Management Team in a high-level knowledge exchange session with representatives from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). The engagement focused on sharing best practices in the management of large-scale projects, particularly in the areas of planning, prioritization, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
Participants explored practical strategies for optimizing the use of limited resources to deliver high impact projects. The discussions highlighted successful models from KDF and KRA, providing valuable insights into how institutional efficiencies can be harnessed to deliver transformative results.
A key focus of the session was the potential for strengthening strategic partnerships with other government agencies, development partners, and public-private ventures as a means to unlock additional resources, funding, expertise and opportunities. These collaborations are seen as critical enablers for the Judiciary to deliver on its mandate, particularly for high-impact projects that cannot be fully supported through the limited budgetary allocations.
Hon. Mokaya reaffirmed the Judiciary’s commitment to fostering continuous learning and institutional growth. She emphasized the importance of upscaling dialogue and partnerships, and adopting proven best practices from across the public sector. She noted that by maintaining a learning posture, the Judiciary can enhance its capacity to implement impactful, large-scale projects and significantly improve service delivery to the public.
Today’s conversation was anchored under Outcome 4 of STAJ that highlights that, “The Judiciary will nurture a culture of inter-agency consultation and collaboration to promote synergy to accelerate efficient delivery of services.”
