Continue readingChief Justice David Maraga toured Nyeri Law Courts in October 2018 to inspect delivery of service and renovation of court rooms at the station. During the visit, the CJ held meetings with members of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and media, as well as judicial officers and staff. Some of the issues that were discussed with staff include staff promotions, re-designations, remuneration as well as participation in Judiciary’s decision-making process, among others. Continue readingThe Judiciary has set up a registry at the Kisumu Law Courts that will handle cases targeted for mediation. The Court Annexed Mediation (CAM) Registry was officially opened by the High Court Principle Judge, Lady Justice Lydia Achode, in an event attended by members of the Judicial Service commission (JSC), Mediation Taskforce, stakeholders, staff and members of the public, among other guests.
