Hon. Mr. Justice Boaz Nathan Olao

Hon. Mr. Justice Boaz Olao, MBS, was born in Nairobi County.

He holds the following academic and professional qualifications:

• Bachelor of Laws from University of Nairobi
• Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law
• Admitted to the Roll of Advocates

He has a wealth of experience in the legal profession.

He was appointed as an Environment and Land Court Judge in 2012 has served in Kerugoya, Bungoma and Busia.

For his service to the nation, in 2019, he was awarded the Order of Moran of the Burning Spear (MBS)

Previous Experience

• Appointed District Magistrate (DM II) in 1982.
• Served in Machakos, Eldoret, Kiambu, Nairobi, Thika, Mombasa and Kisumu rising through the ranks to Chief Magistrate.

 Other Responsibilities

• Chairman, Auctioneers Licensing Board (2011-2017).
• Championing sports activities in the Judiciary.
• Member of the team that developed ELC Bench Book in 2018.
• Editor, HAKIMU Newsletter published by the KMJA in the 1990s.
