37 judges officially sworn in by President William Ruto

President William Ruto has today, May 4, 2026 presided over the swearing-in of 24 Judges of the High Court and 13 Judges of the Environment and Land Court at State House. The ceremony was witnessed by the Chief Justice Martha Koome.
The Oath of Office was administered by the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Winfridah Mokaya
This solemn ceremony is anchored in Article 74 of the Constitution of Kenya, which requires every State Officer to take the Oath of Office before assuming office.
Through the oath, the Judges committed to impartially administer justice in accordance with the Constitution, and to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution of Kenya at all times.
