NCAJ Tasks DPP to lead special inter-agency committee

NEWS RELEASE. FRIDAY, February 8, 2019.  The National Council on Administration of Justice (NCAJ), under the leadership of the Chief Justice David Maraga, resolved to form a 12-member committee to identify challenges faced in anti-corruption matters and make recommendations on inter-agency collaboration and measures to address the challenges.nnThe Director of Public Prosecutions will chair the committee. JSC meets parliamentary committee on Delegated Legislation

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and Judiciary leadership led by Chief Justice David Maraga held a successful meeting with the Committee on Delegated Legislation of the National Assembly under leadership of Gladys Boss Shollei. The meeting held on February 6 in Mombasa, discussed the Judiciary Fund Regulations and the Code of Conduct for Judges, Judicial Officers and Judicial Staff. CJ inspects service delivery at Nyeri

Chief Justice David Maraga toured Nyeri Law Courts in October 2018 to inspect delivery of service and renovation of court rooms at the station. During the visit, the CJ held meetings with members of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and media, as well as judicial officers and staff. Some of the issues that were discussed with staff include staff promotions, re-designations, remuneration as well as participation in Judiciary’s decision-making process, among others.
