Deputy CJ Mwilu meets IDLO Country Director on enhancing efficiency and performance in the Judiciary

Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu held a meeting with the IDLO Country Director Teresa Mugadza on enhancing efficiency and performance in the Judiciary. The meeting focused on areas of collaboration with regard to the Office of the Judiciary Ombudsman (OJO), and new areas of collaboration on sensitization and creation of awareness. The DCJ assured the Director that Judiciary is committed to facilitating collaboration with development partners to enhance access to justice for all Kenyans. Kiambu courts go digital

CJ Koome Launches e-filing in Kiambu County. CJ Martha Koome launched e-filing for courts in Kiambu County. These are Kiambu, Gatundu, Githunguri, Kahawa, Kikuyu, Limuru, Ruiru and Thika Law Courts.  The county is the sixth after Nairobi, Mombasa Siaya, Kisumu and Homa Bay counties which are already on the platform. “This marks a significant milestone in the Judiciary’s automation and digitization agenda, as we continue to leverage technology to drive our quest for efficiency in our processes and in the delivery of justice,” the CJ said. CJ Koome launches e-filing system for Kisumu, Homa Bay and Siaya counties

Chief Justice Martha Koome launched the electronic filing system in Kisumu, Siaya and Homa Bay counties. This follows the e-filing adoption in Nairobi and Mombasa counties Speaking during the launch ceremony the Chief Justice said Kenyans will no longer be hindered by geographical constraints or the burden of time-consuming journeys to physically submit pleadings and legal documents to courts. “The process will now be as straightforward as a click of a button, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week” she said.
