ELC judges trained on Carbon Offsetting
The Environment and Land Court Judges are participating in a Carbon Offsetting Training workshop. The programme aims to strengthen the Judiciary’s capacity to handle Carbon Offset disputes and will explore a broad range of issues, including the architecture of carbon markets and trading mechanisms. The judges will be exposed to emerging regulatory and institutional landscapes, and comparative jurisprudence on carbon-related disputes. The training will also incorporate the voices of duty bearers, community representatives, and sectoral actors to provide grounded insights.
