Work Experience:

Served as State Counsel in the Office of the Attorney General and State Department of Justice prior to his appointment as Judge of the High Court

  • Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
  • Law Society of Kenya

Key Achievements

  • Bitta successfully represented the State in proceedings before the High court and Court of Appeal securing Kenya’s claim over the mineral rich Mrima hills, with resources valued at approximately Kshs 8 trillion for which i was awarded OGW.
  • He also successfully represented the Republic of Kenya in proceedings before the East African Court of Justice Appellate division in proceedings that challenged the promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 helping safeguard a critical milestone in the country’s constitutional development
