Kadhi’s Court Bar – Bench Committee distributes dry ration to 150 widows

Led by Ag. Chief Kadhi Sukyan Hassan, the Kadhi’s Court Bar - Bench Committee conducted a dry ration distribution for 150 widows at Makina Mosque. The initiative, part of the Judiciary’s CSR programme, also included community engagement sessions. A similar outreach was held last Ramadhan in Mukuru kwa Njenga. Appreciation was extended to Nairobi Kadhi’s Court Bar - Bench Committee, Law Society of Kenya - Nairobi Branch, generous donors, and the Kibra community leadership for their support. DCJ closes appelate judges’ induction workshop

Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu closed the induction of the newly appointed Court of Appeal judges. The DCJ congratulated the judges on their appointment and underscored that preparation is personal and collegiality does not substitute for individual industry. She stated that persuasion is respectful and the judges must persuade their colleagues by reason, not insistence. The Hon DCJ emphasised that institutional coherence matters and clarity of ratio strengthens a court more than multiplicity of voices. Chief Justice Martha Koome officially opened the induction workshop for newly appointed Court of Appeal Judges in Nairobi. She told the Judges that they were joining the Court at an exciting time when the Judiciary is implementing an ambitious people-centered vision - Social Transformation through Access to Justice (STAJ) blueprint.
