CRJ Mokaya keen on listening to concerns of every constituency in the Judiciary

In her first official function since assuming office, Chief Registrar Winfridah Mokaya addressed Judges and Deputy Registrars who participated in the annual High Court Leaders Forum at the Ciala Resort in Kisumu on 28 March 2024.

The Chief Registrar assured the High Court that she was keen to listen to and carry the concerns of every constituency in the Judiciary. To facilitate this, her office would develop a framework for robust engagement with Judges and Deputy Registrars on how the administration of the Judiciary can better support the High Court to deliver on its mandate.

The Chief Registrar also committed to ensure consultation and collaboration between the HR Directorate and the Registrar of the High Court in making decisions touching on staff serving in the High Court and to enhance the Judiciary’s institutional administrative model to better align with the ideals of shared leadership and the constitutional value of decentralization.

Hon Mokaya reiterated her commitment to engage with other stakeholders on the funding of access to justice as a public good.
