CRJ receives the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission

Hon. Winfridah B. Mokaya, CBS, Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, received the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission, led by Rebecca Sparkman, Deputy Division Chief (Fiscal Affairs Department), at the Supreme Court. The meeting served as an introductory session for the IMF’s diagnostic assessment, aimed at identifying weaknesses and corruption vulnerabilities that hinder macroeconomic stability and growth.
The Chief Registrar was accompanied by Registrars of the High Court and the Office of the Chief Registrar, the Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court, Director of the Directorate of Strategic Planning and Organizational Performance and Head of Resource Mobilization Unit.Their participation underscored the Judiciary’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and institutional reforms in support of macroeconomic stability and growth.
Hon. Mokaya informed the IMF Mission that the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) has developed the Anti-Corruption Strategic Guiding Framework for Kenya’s justice sector. This framework is designed to confront and sustain the fight against corruption and economic crimes, reinforcing the Judiciary’s role in promoting integrity and good governance.
