Lady Justice Lucy Mbugua, Presiding Judge of the Nairobi Land Division of the Environment and Land Court (ELC), today convened the inaugural meeting of ELC Nairobi Land Justice Working Group sub-committee on Public Participation and Stakeholder Engagement to discuss ways of conducting public outreach. Chief Justice Martha Koome presided over the swearing in of Attorney General Dorcas Oduor as a Judicial Service Commission, (JSC) Commissioner at a ceremony held at the Supreme Court. The National Assembly has been urged to expedite the legislative process to fully transition all Tribunals to the Judiciary. Chief Justice Martha Koome has committed to advocate for environmental sustainability in the Kenyan justice sector through upholding the rule of law, protecting rights, ensuring sustainable development and promoting ecological sustainability.
