Chief Justice Martha Koome presided over the swearing in of Attorney General Dorcas Oduor as a Judicial Service Commission, (JSC) Commissioner at a ceremony held at the Supreme Court. She pledged her support and that of the JSC for the AG as she undertakes her duties at the commission. On her part, Hon Oduor pledged to ensure that the JSC achieves its mandate in safeguarding the independence of the Judiciary. CJ urges MPs to provide legislative framework to streamline Tribunals operations

The National Assembly has been urged to expedite the legislative process to fully transition all Tribunals to the Judiciary. CJ commits to champion integration of environmental sustainability in Justice System

Chief Justice Martha Koome has committed to advocate for environmental sustainability in the Kenyan justice sector through upholding the rule of law, protecting rights, ensuring sustainable development and promoting ecological sustainability.
