Drug exhibits destroyed in Lamu after conclusion of case

Lamu Law Courts Principal Magistrate Hon Allan Temba (in suit) flanked by members of the Lamu Court CUC destroy heroin and bhang exhibits worth Ksh 680,000 earlier today. Drugs are a big menace in the region.nn“Before destruction, every file is called out and verified to ensure accountability. Our court practice is not to store drugs for too long. New court building opened at Tamu in Muhoroni.

Chief Justice David Maraga presided over the opening of a court building at Tamu Law Courts. Tamu Law Courts has been refurbished and upgraded to a modern court facility.  Prior to this refurbishment, the court used to operate from a structure that was initially built as a garage to repair tractors.nnTamu Law Court was established in 1970 at Tamu Upper in Muhoroni, Constituency. In 1992, the court was relocated to Mnara where it served Koru, Chemilil and Muhoroni locations. The court was housed and operated from the settlement scheme’s motor vehicle garage.
